The conversion of listed building HPT has been completed, and all work areas of the mechanical workshop are now housed in a single building. This opens new possibilities for the workshop's activities, but it required machines weighing several tons to be moved.

A traditional social event gathered the new apprentices of the D-PHYS vocational training workshops.

The topics of this year's D-PHYS Day ranged from the latest news from departmental services and facilities to exoplanet and quantum information research that's carried out in the department.

This year's D-PHYS Day took place on 7 June 2023. It featured updates from the Head of the Department and insights into the new PPLUS physics practicals. The traditional barbecue offered the opportunity for more informal conversations.

Two new colleagues joined the department to support its multi-channel communication activities.
