D-PHYS Day 2023
This year's D-PHYS Day took place on 7 June 2023. It featured updates from the Head of the Department and insights into the new PPLUS physics practicals. The traditional barbecue offered the opportunity for more informal conversations.
Following coffee and croissants in the Food Market, informative updates were given in lecture hall G5. Andrey Zheludev provided an overview of recent developments in the department, and then handed over to Andreas Eggenberger to report on the new and successful PPLUS project-oriented physics practicals. In their roles of ambassadors for the PPLUS project, some students demonstrated a selection of physics experiments. Afterwards, Zheludev presented this year's Physics Lab Awards. With its rich offering of salads and of vegetarian, vegan and traditional options, the barbecue closed the event in a nice summery atmosphere.
