Spark Award Nomination 2021
David Pohl, Rachel Grange, Fabian Kaufmann and Marc Reig Escalé are among the top five finalists for the Spark Award 2021. They entered the competition with their invention “Tunable electro-optic modulator for boosting the efficiency of telecommunication systems”.

On October 11, from 17:30-19:00 ETH Zurich will present the Spark Award at Audimax, Rämistrasse 101 in Zurich.
Scientists from ETH Zurich receive the award for the most promising invention, which resulted in a patent application in the past year. The criteria for the evaluation are: originality, patent strength and market potential.
