Roland Eichhorn †
It is with great sadness that we have to inform about the decease of Roland Eichhorn. He passed away on 25 October 2018 at the age of 54.
Roland worked as senior mechanical engineer in the Star- and Planet Research Group of the Institute for Particle Physics and Astrophysics. He was involved in the development of the METIS instrument for the Extremely Large Telescope and lead the technical aspects of the ETH local work package.
His sudden decease is a shock for all of us and his contribution to the project will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his close relatives and friends.
