Farewell Gaby Strahm, welcome Cindy Berchtold
After 21 years at ETH Zurich, Gaby Strahm took an early retirement in October 2018. For the past 16 years she worked in the group “Physics of New Materials” and for 13 years also in the “Quantum Device Lab” in the Department of Physics. Previously, she worked in HR at ETH Zurich
Not only did she support the professors of the groups in terms of management and purchasing, but also numerous doctoral students. She received a lot of appreciation for this, and so in a dissertation of the PNM Group she is explicitly acknowledged: “Gaby Strahm's humor more than once turned a gray morning into a beautiful day. The various events she organized, together with Kurt, were a key ingredient shaping our group dynamics.”
Welcome Cindy Berchtold
Since 1 October 2018, Cindy Berchtold continues the work of Gaby Strahm in the “Quantum Device Lab”. She has broad experience in administration and worked in public relations at the University of Lucerne. Among her strengths are also languages and sports.
