It is with great sadness that we report the death of our longtime colleague Andreas Mathys, who died on 9 October 2018 at the age of 50.

Andreas Mathys worked for 25 years as a specialist in the mechanical workshop of the Department of Physics. We lose an amiable, helpful and competent personality.
Our heartfelt and sincere condolences go to his family and friends. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
