ETH scientists at the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting

Today, the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting started, which is dedicated to physics. 39 Nobel Laureates are joined by 580 young scientists from 89 countries — ten of them from ETH Zurich.

Some 160 guests celebrated 60 successful graduates at this year's Master's degree graduation ceremony of the Department of Physics. Christian Carisch and Valerio Peri were awarded the ETH Silver Medal for their outstanding Master's theses, and Pascale Berner received the Willi Studer Prize for this year's best student of the physics Master's degree programme.

Prof. Dr. Hans Theodor Auerbach, emeritus professor of physics at ETH, died on 25 May 2019 at the age of 99.
