Alain Fauquex
After having conducted an apprenticeship as a design engineer, Alain worked for ETH Zürich’s Quantum Device Lab while completing his secondary education. He is currently studying physics at ETH. He speaks German, Swiss German and English.
Amina Ribeiro
Amina is Brazilian and came to Switzerland in 2018 to start her PhD in the group of professor Wegscheider. She speaks Portuguese, Spanish, German and English.
Daniela Rupp
Daniela is an assistant professor at D-PHYS, as head of her research group "Nanostructures and Ultrafast X-Ray Science". She speaks German and English.
Katharina Kolatzki
Katharina is German and has lived in different places around Germany as well as in Namibia and Kenya. She studied physics at TU Berlin and is now doing her doctorate in the group of Daniela Rupp. She speaks German, Swiss German, and English.
Nuriya Nurgalieva
Nuriya is from Russia and is currently doing her PhD in the group of Renato Renner.
Sebastian Huber
Sebastian is the coordinator of the physics department and runs a research group on theoretical and experimental condensed matter physics. He speaks German, English, and Hebrew.
Thomas Ihn
Thomas is a titular professor at D-PHYS and does research on Semiconductor Nanostructures. He speaks German and English.
Fanny Goy
Fanny is in the final year of her bachelor studies of physics. Being from Luxemburg, she speaks German, Swiss German, Luxemburgish, French, and English.
