Sebastián was raised in Mexico. In 2015, he moved to Switzerland to study Physics at ETH Zurich. After completing his master's, he decided to stay at ETH and joined Christian Degen's group for his PhD. His research focuses on cryogenic quantum sensing using NV centers in diamond and its application to image multiferroic materials. Any free time is used to explore the Swiss Alps, enjoy the cultural life in Zurich or play music.

Geena grew up in Italy and moved to Switzerland in 2017. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics from ETH Zurich. She joined the Degen group in November 2023 to work on nuclear spin sensing and to test mass sensing techniques with membrane-based scanning force microscopy. She loves cats, lifting weights, listening to music and watching movies.

In 2019, Alperen completed his bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Physics in Turkey and started pursuing his master's degree in Quantum Engineering at ETH Zurich. Currently, he is working towards his PhD in the Quantum Photonics Group, where he focuses on optical spectroscopy of 2D materials. Outside of his academic pursuits, he enjoys bouldering, exploring mountains and playing the drums.

Kolja Frahm, originally from Hamburg, pursued his physics studies in Zurich. Currently, he is undertaking a PhD in Low Energy Particle Physics within the Fundamental Interactions Group of Prof. Dr. Anna Soter. His research focuses on testing lepton flavor universality through a precision pion decay experiment.
Outside of academia, Kolja likes acting in student theater productions. He is also a member of Polyband and sometimes enjoys bouldering sessions.

Marko grew up in northern Germany and obtained his Master's degree at CAU Kiel. He started his PhD in Ursula Keller's group in 2021 where he works at the Attoline. To resolve and understand ultrafast dynamics through Attosecond Transient Absorption Spectroscopy is his current bread and butter. Outside of the lab he enjoys all sorts of sports and meditation.

Annika grew up on the German side of the lake of Constance, where she also did her Bachelors and Master's in Physics. During her time studying, she went abroad to New Zealand and the UK. After her Masters, she started her PhD in Christian Degen´s group, focusing on NV magnetometry and electrometry at room temperature. She enjoys being outdoors: skiing, hiking or playing spikeball and plays Lacrosse.

Frederic studied physics at TU Berlin where he and experimental physics became friends. In 2020, he moved to Zurich and started his PhD in Daniela Rupp's group to investigate time-resolved light matter interaction of clusters, using electron spectroscopy. Living now in Switzerland, he is eager to discover the Alps.

Haydn pursued a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Philosophy in Physics at Monash University, Melbourne. He is currently undertaking a PhD, collaborating between the Quantum Photonics Group and the Institute of Theoretical Physics, with a focus on theoretical physics challenges in atomically thin materials. Outside of his studies, Haydn enjoys coffee, hiking, and exploring Europe and Switzerland.

Stefano grew up in Switzerland, and partly in Argentina. In 2023, after having finished his studies at ETH, he joined Yiwen Chu's group for his PhD. His research is focused on bosonic quantum simulation using bulk acoustic waves for chemistry applications. He spends his free time playing soccer at his Club, training triathlon, or hiking in the mountains.

Nicholas grew up Germany just behind the Swiss border and studied physics in Zurich. During his masters he spent a year in The Hague working on quantum algorithms. After two internships in industry and a startup he turned towards experimental physics for good and started his PhD in Christian Degen's group in 2022. His research focuses on time resolved imaging of magnetization dynamics using scanning NV magnetometry. In his free time he enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, and recently discovered a passion for sailing.

Andrea is from the south of Switzerland and came to Zurich to study physics. He obtained his PhD in 2020 by working on computations for the Higgs boson cross-section at the LHC. He then moved to Amsterdam for a three-year postdoc and has been back in Zurich since the end of 2021, working in Babis Anastasiou's group on higher-order correction for hadronic processes.
In his free time, among other things, he likes to boulder indoors and outdoors, go to the cinema, and write useless but fun codes.

Marta grew up in a small village on Lake Como in northern Italy. She then moved to the UK to study Physics at The University of Manchester. In 2020, she moved to Zurich, where she earned her Master's degree in Physics at ETH. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Klaus Ensslin, focusing her research on building quantum devices using superconducting twisted graphene. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, swimming, and playing the clarinet.
