Gas Liquefaction
The gas-liquefaction facility of the Department of Physics provides liquid helium and nitrogen for cooling purposes for the whole of ETH and the University of Zurich.
Some 85% of the gaseous helium is recovered from the consumers and led back to the gas liquefaction facility, where it is processed and liquefied again. Liquid gases can be ordered directly from the D-PHYS Shop.
